Coming out to my Mum (The long awaited Part 2!!!)

Can you remember my blogpost from November last year called 'Telling / Keeping Mum'??

Guess who i told last night?

I went round with my letter and some pictures. I think she thought it was a joke until she saw my photos. She told me i looked like my sister and told me i looked good in the photos.

What did i say in the other blogpost though? I said she would be cool about it and she totally was!

I guess it makes buying xmas and birthday presents for me a whole lot easier lol!

Lizard Lounge Nottingham

My new hairstyle!
So last night was pretty up and down. On the upside i went and got my hair did* so was feeling and looking fab, but on the downside i had nobody to go out with. I was a proper loner last night!

Still not to be deterred i went into Nottingham for a drink on my own (i know, i'm such a saddo aren't i?) I was looking for a place to park my car and i found a sweet little gap pretty much straight away. So i parked up and just as i'm about to get out, someone opens my door for me. Its the bouncer of the club i've just parked in front of. I thanked him and walked straight past a small queue of people waiting to get in. I got waived straight through the entrance and into the club where i got myself a coke from the bar.

I'm stood at the bar of this really nice club reflecting on what just happened, reflecting on what the people must have thought about some random girl arriving in her Porsche and parking right outside the doors and getting the VIP treatment. I actually laughed out loud a little (doubly saddo i know!!).
It was one of those moments when i really wish someone was with me to share the experience with cos it was super funny!

I then went across the road to an absolute crappy place called the Hogshead, it was like a proper student shit-hole. Didn't enjoy it, left after one drink and went home to a KFC.

My girl was pretty drunk last night when she got back from her night out and we had a whole debate about me being untidy and me leaving a bottle of DKNY 'Delicious' perfume in the living room for the last year.
I was like but thats your perfume isnt it? She reckoned it was mine.
The offending perfume!
We spent 10minutes going back and forth about who owned it.
I said i felt dead guilty cos i kept pinching it from her cos i liked the smell.
She said she wasn't going to move it cos it was mine.

Neither of us can remember who actually bought it for whom, However she went and fetched it and gave it to me officially, So now i dont have to feel guilty about stealing my own perfume lol.

On a side note, the keen eyed ones amongst you may have noticed this blog has changed a little in layout. I did this because i tend to update my website less and less. What with Flickr and Facebook, I think that the SamanthaTgirl site has become more of a 'hub of content' a jumping off point for my other stuff, Not that i ever plan to remove it.
So this Blog has been updated a little with the little Google gadgets to the left so you can see other Blogs i enjoy reading and also to follow this Blog if you so wish!

*Intentional grammar error. One does not get ones hair 'done'. One gets ones hair 'did' Its something i learned from my South London friends.

The 'See-Saw' of Karma is starting to tip in my favour!

New Shoes!
...And about bloody time too!

I got my far fixed by an independent Porsche garage and instead of paying what the Official Porsche  dealer quoted me (£1,948) i ended up paying just £360 cash so i am now very happy (and nicely chilled when im driving)
Everyone kept telling me i was stupid getting the AirCon fixed on a soft-top, i could just put the roof down but im a little bit environmentally un-friendly, i like to have the roof down AND have the AC blasting too lol

I have disputed the insurance company (again) about my burglary, This most recent one will be my last effort. i dont know what else i can do to change their mind. I now know that garages are not the same as the home so i'm expecting them to come back with a maximum offer of £2,000. a long way off what was stolen, but every little bit will help so fingers firmly crossed!

To cheer myself up a little bit i thought i'd splash out on some new nails yesterday, These ones are Gel instead of Acrylic and to be honest they look exactly the same. The cost the same. They kinda feel the same (maybe gel is a little lighter). My natural nails are sooo good i dont actually need to get them done but somehow i feel better when they are done.

Tomorrow is another trip to Dr Temple the Botox god. Here is something you might not know about Botox, It takes about a week to start working properly, to feel the effects and to see them. It lasts around 3-4months depending on the site treated. But when it wears off, it wears off really fast, like in a day!
I have a single Botox treatment in my forehead (around 6 injections, 1 vial of the stuff), I have this treatment cos it stops you sweating. No sweat at all... Absolutely ZERO perspiration from anywhere north of my eyeballs!
However when it wore off while i was doing some work in the garden the other day i was suddenly aware of a river flowing down my face... I was straight on the phone to book another appointment lol.

Friday will see another visit to the hair salon, my hair is in need of attention and i love catching up with my stylist about stuff. She recommended Dr Temple to me and i always tell other Tgirls to go see her if they are nervous. I must ask her if any other girls have been to see her yet.

I bought some new designer heels at the weekend and they may just replace the Kurt Geigers i always seem to wear on a night out. These are so comfy and i also had some change out of £100 in the sale (no, i did not go looting before anyone asks lol), which is a bonus cos i saw them for well over £200 last time i went out!

Karma

Every so often i get hit by a string of happy coincidences, Y'know the sort of thing when everything seems to go just right. You happily stumble across the perfect bargain in the shop, you go to pay and find £20 on the floor. You decide to spend a couple of quid of that found money on a lotto ticket and win a further £500.

I call this 'Good Karma' because i dont believe in 'fate' or 'luck'. It was Newton that said "Every action has an equal and opposing reaction" So it stands to reason that there is such a thing as 'Bad Karma'...

...And when Bad Karma hits it seems to really hit hard. I dont want to let this post spiral into a depressing 'oh poor me' type affair so i shall simply list the low-lights of recent times.

You all know i got broken into and everything stolen (nearly £30k worth), Well the insurance company declined my claim. They think they should'nt pay a single penny. I am disputing it but i dont fancy my chances!
My air conditioning in my Porsche has broken and its gonna cost thousands to fix it!
Some government funding i applied for (which i may add, i am fully entitled to) has also been declined. So this is gonna cost me another few grand.
And finally i just got deported from the USA due to a technical problem with my VISA. A problem that the State Dept. later admitted was their fault and that i should not have been deported. This mistake has cost me over £10k in lost revenue.
To top it all off, i now need to attend the US embassy for interviews and if you've ever been there before you will know what a pain in the arse it is cos you cant take any keys, cellphones, laptops, bags, or anything else into the embassy. You end up leaving all your stuff at a locker in the train station!

Anyways..... On a more cheery note, I still have my red hair and its getting pretty long now. I would prefer it a little shorter cos its kinda in that annoying length where it flows off my shoulders and flicks up out of control.

I went along to Nottinghamshire Pride festival at the weekend, gorgeous weather meant it was a lovely walk around the stalls.
I was a little surprised at how few Transfolk i saw, I maybe spotted a handful all day, I know we are kinda the minority at this sort of festival but still i didn't see anyone i knew. Literally nobody!
I found a little side stall run by Re-Creation. They are a trans group who have weekly meetings at a pub in Notts. I might pop along to one and check it out. Although i didn't spot any MtF's or FtM's at the stall so not sure what to make of it. I think i shall remain open minded until i check out a meeting.

And on the subject of meetings on my last blogpost i did promise i would report back on my visit to The Crown in Derby. Well its a very nice little pub, very quiet when i was there but also there were a great bunch of girls who i met for the first time (Gillian, Penny, Fran, Sarah, Roxy - see i have a great memory). I can recommend this place and will be going again, drop me a line if you want to tag along.

Anyway i'm off to do some sunbathing whilst the sun is still shining:)
