Camera advice needed...

So i'm in need of a new camera. Mine is a wicked tiny handbag friendly sized Fuji finepix 450 however i went to use it the other day and everything is all blurry unless you physically hold the lens out with your free hand.

I sort of have to stretch the lens to full length or it gives everything that fuzzy "just had 15 beers" kind of look.

So im looking to buy a new one. I dont need 15 billion pixels or anything mega like that cos all the photo's are for putting online anyway and i rarely need them to be bigger than 2m pixels otherwise i end up cropping and downsizing them.

So my question to all you girls, boys and preferably photographers is what is a really good thin, compact camera to buy for under £150?

  1. Hi Sam. I dont reckon to spend any more than £100 on a compact camera. I think they are all reasonably good. Have you read any online revues?

  2. Hi,

I ummed and ahhed for ages over getting a new camera. In the end I followed Sophie's advice about the on-line reviews - they did help.

I spent just under 100 quid and I've been very pleased with the one I got. Shame it doesn't have a button to remove hamfistedness but you can't have it all ;-)
